The Pleasant Unity Volunteer
Fire Department
has a large social hall available
for rent
to accommodate your next event.
The social
hall is available for many different
events
including weddings, bridal showers,
wedding
showers, birthday parties, anniversary
parties,
fundraising events, funeral luncheons,
banquets,
meetings and auctions just to
name a few.
The PUVFD Social Hall will easily
accommodate
small gatherings, parties and
weddings as
well as larger weddings and banquets
up to
400 people. Although seating
is available
for up to 400 people for these
events, we
recommend limiting wedding receptions
to
around 350 people to allow space
for a dancing
area, cake table, gift table,
etc.
Pleasant Unity VFD is licensed
through the
Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board
so ALL
events where any type of beverage
is served
must have bartenders from PUVFD
serving the
beverages. All local and state
laws regarding
serving of beverages are strictly
followed
so not to jeopardize our PLCB
license.
Use of the social hall for fundraising
events
is subject to approval by the
social hall
committee and chairperson as
well as the
PUVFD membership. Events that
may be deemed
inappropriate for the Pleasant
Unity community
will be denied use of our facilities.
Any
fundraising event conducted by
the PUVFD
membership is not permitted to
be held by
any other organization or group.
This includes
gun bashes and elimination ticket
drawing
fundraisers.
Each event will require paying
for our cleaning
person after your event is over.
It is expected
that the responsible person or
group utilizing
our social hall leave it in reasonable
repair,
all food and garbage must be
removed or thrown
in the trash and all items brought
in for
the event must be removed immediately
after
the event is completed. We will
not eliminate
the cleaning fees for any event.

excessive handling and exposure
to the outdoor
elements cause premature wear
and tear of
these costly items.
VFD Hall Rental Prices
| Traditional Wedding with Alcohol |
- Traditional Wedding with Alcohol - $11.00
per person
- This includes use of facility from 7:00 PM
Friday until Midnight Saturday. Tables and
chairs are available to be used and can be
arranged by the lessee but must be returned
to their original location immediately after
the event. PUVFD will provide plastic table
covering for lessee to cover our tables -
all tables must be covered with a quality
plastic table covering. Also included is
six hours of open bar (see alcohol list below),
one bartender for each 100 guests and hall
cleaning after event.
- A $200.00 security deposit and a signed contract
must be in place to secure a date. If for
any reason you decide to cancel, your security
deposit will be forfeited. The lessee is
financially responsible for ANY and ALL damages
to the leased premises by lessee or guests
of lessee during the event. The security
deposit will be returned within two weeks
following the event after a full inspection
of the leased premises provided there are
no damages.
- Absolutely NO decorations are permitted on
the walls or ceilings - NO EXCEPTIONS - this
is strictly enforced. Lessee may decorate
tables as they wish and the lessor will provide
space behind the head table for a sign.
- Bar supplies include the following: ice,
plastic glasses, stirrers, beer (two choices
for events over 125 people, one choice for
events under 125 people), pop, orange juice,
2 wines (red, white), vodka, rum, gin, slow
gin, bourbon, whiskey, blended whiskey, scotch
and peach schnapps, also liquor for bridal
dance and champagne for bridal party. Requests
for specific brands of any of the above can
be handled by adding $15.00 per bottle to
our cost of the specific brand to cover dispensing.
All open bottles become property of PUVFD.
Additional open bar hours charged at $100.00
per hour + bartenders but will NEVER go past
midnight.
- - Use of the kitchen for the purpose of serving
prepared food and available refrigeration
is included. If your caterer wishes or needs
to use the kitchen for any food preparation
such as use of stove or ovens, a $100.00
kitchen use fee will be added.
- The entire bill must be paid in full 5 days
in advance of scheduled event.
